A Wireless network is a really useful thing. Connecting all your PC’s and printers together with no ugly cables.
What could possibly be wrong with that?
Well...
The thing to keep in mind with a wireless network is they are not always reliable and even at their fastest they are slower than a normal cabled network. So personally I would always have a wireless network alongside my cabled network. Everything would be on the cabled network other than laptops.
Which Wireless device should I use?
For business use you should really use a business class device. These fall into two groups, the wireless access point and the wireless router.
A wireless access point is used to connect your normal wired network to the wireless network.
A wireless router combines the wired network and the wireless network with usually a broadband connection to the Internet.
